Running RoboMaker as a portable app

I installed Robomaker as a portable app on my external USB drive, by specifying  F:\Applications\Kapow Mashup Server 6.3 Openkapow Edition SR1  instead of C:\Program Files\ Kapow Mashup Server 6.3 Openkapow Edition SR1    during the install wizard (F is the drive letter of my USB disk).

When I connect my USB drive to another PC (the drive letter may be different than F), I cannot launch Robomaker.

Does this mean that Robomaker cannot be run as a portable app. (maybe due to some calls to registry settings, making it PC-dependent)?

Do you have plans to make it portable, meaning that I can run it from a USB drive connected to any PC?

Your USB driver may different from one computer to another computer... It is happening because of your my computer partition's. Suppose in one computer if you have two partitions(C drive and D drive) means then E:\ goes to CD/DVD ROM. Then F:\ is your USB drive. suppose in another computer having 4 partitions(C:\ , D:\ , E:\, F:\ ) means G:\ goes to CD/DVD ROM and then you can get H:\ as your USB drive.. This is depends upon your computer partition..

I think you can't make Robomaker as portable... I'm not sure...

Yes, I know that drive letters change, and that's fine.

I just want to know if Robomaker was designed with this in mind, or if it is doomed to fail when the drive letter changes when using another computer? If so, are there any plans to make it somewhat portable (no hard-coded paths or use of registry settings).

There are some absolute file paths in the .lax files that resides in the %install%/bin directory, also there is likely to be a registry key in the JavaSoft/Prefs registry path if using a Windows system.
